We have been working with boutique hotel Tudor Farmhouse in Gloucestershire’s Forest of Dean to launch an exciting new Soul Soother break for autumn and beyond, ideal for those looking enhance their wellbeing and enjoy the changes in the foliage whilst being spoilt by a cosy boutique hotel stay. It focuses on Forest Bathing whilst also incorporating woodland walks, gourmet meals, sleep-enhancing sprays and the chance to add on spoiling in-room massages and floatation sessions; ensuring an even more restful nights’ sleep.

Start by experiencing the Japanese art of Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing) with a certified Forest Therapy Guide Carina Greenwood in a remote forest setting just a stone’s throw from the hotel; said to improve mental wellbeing and reduce stress. Take part in guided woodland walks, breathe in fresh forest air and finish with a foraged tea ceremony.

Back at the hotel, guests can relax by the fire or make a start on their Gratitude Journal- written and designed by psychotherapist Natalie Fox and packed full of tips on positive mental habits that help to boost confidence, self-esteem and happiness. Guests can then choose to add an indulgent in-room massage or drive ten minutes to Float in the Forest, where they can relax in a giant floatation bath filled with Epsom salts, allowing them to fully relax their muscles and let go of any tensions.

Come evening, a gourmet dinner will be served in the hotel’s restaurant, with all ingredients sourced within a 20-mile radius where possible. Guests can then unwind in rooms boasting roll-top baths, rain showers and double beds with pocket sprung mattresses, duck feather pillows and 300 count linen, helping to induce a great night’s sleep. Also included is a special gift of a Bramley sleep spray which combines lavender, yarrow and chamomile essential oils.
